max ainleySpectator“Not sure if I missed the point or not Max.”
No you have covered quite a good amount ,of motor / or stimuli approach training ,the bottom line in combat we don’t know what could thrown at us ,so that aspect is were real random stuff is .The random stuff is were Morris attempts to address up to a point ,my observation. But up to a point only .
I go fully with addressing the random in a step by step way ,this would imply beginner/ intermediate/ advanced ,with the Morris method there is no beginner intermediate advanced ,or so he says ,or motor driven movements .max ainleySpectatorLove what you say Rick ,pushed for time out to work ,back with a bit more info on the subject later
max ainleySpectatorThen I took a closer look at what he teaches in respect of motor driven movement and stimuli motion’s .
max ainleySpectatorNice practical clip Laird ,share your disappointment in not taking them to BB .

February 3, 2013 at 10:11 am in reply to: The Old Style Hand Drill and What it Teaches Us About Body mechanics #1074max ainleySpectatorFrom a martial perspective, self defence etc,in lots of penetrative strikes a well conditioned tip is essential ,in a release situation a return flow of energy back through the tip ,spiralling backwards .

max ainleySpectatorI have noted lots of Folk miss things in general because they are either talking far too much, and are heavily conditioned into perpetual being critical, the observer if on the ball in learning will require a flow of observation eventually ,but initially you have to build a observer within yourself .plus the observer if lacking a foundation will not have the focus to observe .
max ainleySpectatorNot striving to improve runs through everything man does, every one who trains will encounter over a life time many who fall by the way side ,i know this is sad but just about every one who I knew early days have all gone ,no backbone ,stamina ,heart etc.
They lost the plot in long time learning , they did not persist ,they were all found wanting ,a easy life .
max ainleySpectatorAs people we are conditioned by our interests etc trying to improve is;valid ,I always recall a man saying how long have you been practicing the Martial art, I said 13 years ,hmm he said you must know everything then .
Increasing our capacity to learn ,such as who we are at this movement can hamper learning ,can we see the things that create less learning in us at times ,our filters can be too restrictive with in coming impressions .
A friend of mine always claimed he was open , but over the last twenty years or so ,I am finding he is anything but open ,but he still insists he is open .max ainleySpectatorSorry again my reply time is getting shocking Brenna ,just a symbol ,no words etc.but every other clip loads great .
